In celebration of National Public Lands Day (who knew?), there will be all kinds of activities occurring on the Gateway Arch grounds this weekend during Parkpalooza. Activities include rock climbing, wildlife encounters (including a baby bison!), fishing and camping, boating, historic character portrayals, hiking and biking, art and entertainment, archeological digs, and back country adventures. Events will be scheduled from 10am to 4pm both days, and everything is FREE!
For a map of the activites, see here. Parking may be a bit crazy this weekend as there are several events occurring. If you have option, you may want to take the Metrolink downtown. Otherwise, it should be a nice weekend and you might want to park a little bit away and plan on walking to the Arch.
